» Golden Spring Mushroom
These species of mushroom can be cultivated in local conditions with minimum environment control. It is organically grown and free from chemical fertilizer and pesticide. It has been successfully tested and cultivated in substrate bags with environment control at our local farm, with the use of imported organic mushroom spawn from China. These mushrooms are usually light brown-gray in color, cap size up to 70mm wide in a round shape with stem. The stem (40-50mm long) and gills are white. Delicate and mild with a velvety texture. This mushroom is best cooked to fully appreciate its sweetness and tenderness. These mushrooms provide high protein and essential amino acids. Low in fat and high in fiber, they also provide vitamins which stimulate the immune system. They contain mushroom protein that is comparable to high quality animal protein. It is superior to vegetables and cereals proteins. Hence, it can substitute non-vegetable diet and provide a valuable source of high quality proteins to vegetarians. Mushrooms are regarded as one of the world's greatest untapped sources of nutritious and palatable food for the future. They are rich in polysaccharides which restore and support the body’s immune system. Additionally, the mushrooms are high in mineral content, particularly phosphorus and potassium, iron and calcium. These mushrooms can be chopped, sliced, quartered, minced, or pureed. They can also be eaten raw. For preparing large quantities or for pureeing, use a food processor. They need not be peeled. They should be washed briefly under cool water and allowed a few minutes to air dry. Never soak mushrooms to clean them. They are porous and will absorb water. The mushrooms are 90% water. When cooked, some water will evaporate concentrating their juices and intensifying their flavor. Also keep in mind that the longer mushrooms are cooked, the firmer they become. The mushrooms can be braised, sautéed, or stewed to be added to soups, stews, sauces, pasta, vegetable dishes, meats, and seafood. 形态优美,质地脆嫩,味道鲜美,是属于高营养、低热能的菌类食品。含丰富的蛋白质、糖分、脂肪、维生素和铁、钙等微量元素。长期食用有降血压、降低胆固醇的功能。
